- Whitehall Acquired by Patrick Fea (son of James Fea III) after 1667. Occupied by his son James and grandson, James, who succeeded as James VIII of Clestrain.
- Whitehall Village evolved after 1800 around the kelp trade, introduced by James Fea in 1722; became a major fishing port in the 19th century. It reached a seasonal population of nearly 4000 workers by 1913, but ceased operating as a port by 1937.
