Thomas Washington Turnbull married Adeline Eliza (Adda) Harper on 19th October 1884 in Washington County, Missouri. Adda was born at Anthony's Mill, MO on 20th November 1861. They had eight children:

• Eather Clarence Turnbull b. 7th July1885 who married Bacy Leatha (Lea) Boyer (b. 8th December 1866) on 30th May 1905. They had seven children. Eather died on 23rd July1964 at Sullivan, MO where Lea died on 17th May 1970.

• Susan Ethel Turnbull b. September 1886 who married William H Metcalf on 17th November 1907 in Potosi, MO. They has a son and a daughter.

• Stella Ann Turnbull b.25th April 1890 at Anthony's Mill, Washington, Missouri married James Elmer Greenlee, the son of Elijah Greenlee and Rebecca Middleton, on 20th September 1909 at St Louis, Missouri. They had thirteen children. Stella died on 22nd April 1943 at Granite City, Madison County, Illinois.

• Leoroy (Roy) Turnbull b. 27th July 1893 married (1) Mary McGuire and they had one son; (2) Lucy Edith Evans (b. 25th October 1894) on 8th January 1921 and they had five children.

• Elsie May Turnbull b. 25th September 1895 in Washington County, Missouri) who married George Laramore (b. 22nd November 1886, Goodwater, MO, d. 6th July 1969, Belgrade, MO) on 8th June 1913 at Rock Springs, MO. They had four children. Elsie died on 11th June 1963 at Belgrade, MO.
