Mary Ann Winton (b. 30th August 1865, Springburn, Glasgow) was the ninth of the children of Alexander Winton and Helen Fea.

As with many of her sisters and brothers, she emigrated to Ohio. She married Donald MacLennan in Cleveland on 2nd December 1890. Donald was born in Scotland in 1863 to Duncan MacLennan and Ann Stewart.

Mary and Donald had three children:

• Helen MacLennan b. February 1898, Ohio who married and died on 24th June 1989 at Akron, Summit, Ohio, aged ninety one.

• Hazel Winton MacLennan b. 19th November 1901, Canada and died on 1st March 1991 at Akron, Summit, Ohio, aged eighty nine.

• Dorothy MacLennan b. 15th January 1905, Ashtabula, Ohio and died there on 25th January 1910 at the age of three.

Mary and Donald were in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio in 1900 and Ashtabula, Ohio in 1910. Donald died in Cuyahoga on 23rd March 1920, aged fifty six. Mary died in Ohio on 2nd March 1950, aged, aged eighty four.
