Feas of Clestrain \ James I \ James II \ James III \ James IV \ James V \ James VI \ John Gow Gratitude to James Fea VI of ClestrainThe Revenge and her cargo went back to her owners. James Fea would have been entitled to a third part of the value and might have expected a reward from the Government for his part in the capture of John Gow. Long legal disputes arose and there were a variety of false claims made against him by Newgate solicitors acting in the name of John Gow and the pirate crew and others.
