James Fea and Helen Goar

James Fea (b. 1777)  married Helen Goar and had two children:

With the first census in Sanday in 1841, we can see James Fea and Helen Goar at Seatter, the only surviving Feas of this generation.

1841 Census - Seatter, Sanday
James Fea Farmer Aged 65 years b. Orkney
Hellen Fea . Aged 55 years b. Orkney
Ann Muir Farm Serv Aged 20 years b. Orkney
Thomas Muir MS Aged 10 years b. Orkney

The only other Feas appearing in the 1841 census are John and James Fea, nephews and the sons of James Fea's brother John Fea.  They stayed at the adjacent property then called Bolloquoy.

James Fea and Helen Goar are last seen at Seatter in the 1851 census

James Fea Head Aged 74 years b. Sanday
Helen Fea Wife Aged 65 years b. Sanday
Barbara Goar Servant Aged 18 years b. Sanday
David Mill Servant Aged 17 years b. Sanday

Helen Goar died in 1862. She had been staying with her daughter, Barbara Fea and son in law, Donald Hume by this time.  This was at Hunton in Stronsay
