William Hepburn and Marion Brodie Linklater

William Hepburn was the third son of Anne and William Hepburn. He was born 12th May 1857 at Victoria Street, Kirkwall.

In 1881 William was Mill Cottage, Birsay & Harray

He married Marion Brodie Linklater on 17th May 1883, 2 High Street, Kirkwall (src.T.Weekes). Marion was daughter of James & Marion Linklater nee Brodie. She was born on 8th March, 1863 Kilbarchan?, Glasgow (src.T.Weekes) or Blythswood, Glasgow, Lanark (src.IGI computer)

Marion died on 14th May 1935 at 190 Albany Road, Petersham, NSW (src.T.Weekes). She was privately cremated at Rookwood (NSW) Crematorium, (src.death notice)

William died on 30th July 1941 at his home, 190 Albany Road, Petersham, New South Wales (src.T.Weekes). He was cremated at Rookwood.

William and Marion had four children:

• William Hepburn born Sydney NSW 1883; died 1883
• Lillie Linklater Hepburn born 3rd November, 1884 Cowper Street, Waverley, NSW. (src.T.Weekes). Never married. Died 4th March, 1972 at Whitecourt Hospital, Cremorne, NSW.
• Jessie Hepburn 1887 - 1957
• William Linklater Hepburn 1889 - 1950
