James Stewart Shurie and Marian Elizabeth Bond

James Stewart Shurie was the fifth son of Barbara Slater Fea and Josiah Passmore Shurie.

He was born on 13th January, 1870, in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1872 he moved to Trenton, Ontario with his parents, where he was living in 1913 when his mother, Barbara, died. (Source: Obituary of Barbara Fea)

James was a Chemist who had his own drug store. He married Marian / Marion Elizabeth Bond and they had one daughter:

• Jean Taylor Shurie was also a pharmacist. She married Merritt James Watt, an accountant, in Edmonton, Alberta in 1941. Both now deceased.

James died on 9 July 1934.
