Shetland Feas / Magnus Fea / Magnus Fea and Anne King

John Brooke Fea and Cecilia Fea

John Brooke Fea and Cecelia Fea were cousins who married in Sculcoates, Yorkshire in 1839. John Fea (b. 1800) was the son of Magnus Fea and Anne King while Cecilia Fea (c. 20th September 1818) was the daughter of Magnus's brother, William Fea, and his wife Elizabeth Bell.

They had the following children:

  • Magnus Fea c. 2nd October 1840 at Drypool, Yorkshire. Magnus is thought to have died in 1850.
  • Elizabeth Fea c. 25th March 1842, Drypool, Yorkshire. She was unmarried and stayed with the family. She died in 1885 in Sculcoates.

  • Cecilia Anne Fea c. 9th Apr 1844, Sculcoates. She also was unmarried and stayed with the family. Cecilia died in Sculcoates in 1926, aged eighty two.
  • John Brooke Fea c. 2nd March 1846, Sculcoates who married Florence Maud Gunn
  • Caroline Frances Fea c. 12th May 1848, Sculcoates. She also was unmarried and stayed with the family. Caroline died in Sculcoates on 16th November 1935, aged eighty seven.
  • Thomas Hay Fea c. 13th November 1851, Sculcoates. He was a banker's clerk and died in 1936 in Sculcoates, aged eighty five.
  • Charles Sinclair Fea c. 20th March 1856, Sculcoates and died in 1874, aged eighteen.
  • Robert Bell Cobbold Fea c. 8th November 1859, Sculcoates. He was a bank clerk and married Lillian Mary Walters in 1911 in the Strand district of London. Lillian who was born in Reigate, Surrey in 1871. She had been married previously. Robert died in Devon in 1944, aged eighty six and Lillian in 1949.

The family lived in Storey St, Sculcoates in 1841 and subsequently at 3 Rutland Terrace. John's occupation is described as merchant and seed crusher.

He died in Sculcoates on 16th December 1866.

Cecilia was subsequently at Westbourne Ave, Cottingham, Yorkshire (1881 and 1891) and in 1901 with son William Hay Fea at the Master's House, Charterhouse Lane.

She remained with her unmarried family and died in Sculcoates in 1908.
