Introduction / William Gray and Mary RobertsonMary Gray and John James Logan FoulisMary Gray married John James Logan Foulis, born 1848, the son of Armit Foulis and Christian Sutherland Foulis, on 2 April 1872. He was a farm servant and lived at Quarryhouse, Papay. He died 21 May 1913, at Quarryhouse. He was recorded at Dykeside in the 1881 and 1901 Census. This appears to be a naming mistake or controversy on the part of the Census takers since every birth, death and marriage record has the family at Quarryhouse from first to last.
