William Reid and Annie Miller

William, or Billie as he was called, was the oldest child of William Reid and Margaret Petrie. Billie married Annie Miller from Ferniebrae, Eday; they had five children:

• Annie Jane Reid was born in May 1905 and died in 1979, unmarried

• William Reid was born in March 1907. He moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he married but had no family.

• Albert Reid was born in May 1908. He also married in Canada and had two sons.

• Netta Reid, married and had one daughter.

• Alexander Reid, about whom there is no information.

By the mid-1920s Billie had moved to Blairgowrie in Perthshire.
