Introduction / William Gray and Mary Robertson / William GrayEliza Jane Gray and James DayEliza Jane Gray (b. 2nd September 1855) was the second of the eight children known to William Gray and Eliza Jane Shields. She married James Day (previously Murray) on 28th October 1879 in the Mariner's Church, Bethel House, George St. Nth, Sydney.
Eliza and James had eight children:
- William James Day, born 1880 who died about 1960 in Manly, NSW

James Lawrence Day, born 1881 who died in 1882 in Sydney

Mary Elizabeth Day, born 1885 who married Ernest Logue at Coonamble, NSW in 1910. They had two children. Mary died at Forbes, NSW in 1933.

Emily M Day, born 1887 who married Arthur E Collins in Manly, NSW in 1922. Emily and Arthur had three of a family: Arthur Collins (born 1922, died 1991; Francis Collins (born about 1924, died about 1990) and Richard Collins (born about 1926, died about 1970). Emily died in 1931.

David Rennie Day, born 3rd July 1889 in Carraher's Lane, Sydney who married Doris Ada Shannon in 1922 and had a daughter. Doris died in Manly in 1958 and David died on 13th September 1971.

Linda Day, born 1893 and married. She died about 1970 in Manly.

George H S Day, born 1897 who married and had family.

James Day, born 1900 and died in 1981 in Penrith, NSW
The family lived in the Manly area of Sydney.
Eliza died at Sydney Road, Manly on 8th June 1928.
