Thomas Reid Wallace and Agnes Wilson

Thomas Reid Wallace, a twin, was born 12 April 1872, on Eday. As an infant his family moved to Shetland, where his father died young in 1875. The family returned to Eday to his mother's family. Thomas worked as an agricultural labourer with his brother John at Stenaquoy. He married Agnes Wilson, born in Kirkwall, 29 August 1873, daughter of Laurence Wilson and Anne Wilson. The Wilsons were from Fair Isle. In 1907 Thomas and Agnes emigrated to British Columbia, Canada. They had at least one daughter, Barbara, who married George Bennett. Barbara had a son and a daughter and lived near Victoria.

Thomas worked as a shipper for a fuel and building supply company. He died in Vancouver 22 September 1942. Agnes died in Victoria, British Columbia, 18 December 1955. Thomas and Agnes are buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.
