Ann Drever and William HarcusGeorge Harcus and Catherine Rendall
George Harcus (b. 7th September 1851) was the youngest child of William Harcus and Ann Drever and stayed with his widowed mother at Stoneyhall, Westray.
He married Catherine Rendall (b. 4th September 1855) in December 1876. She was a daughter of John Rendall and Barbara Gray from Banks.
George and Catherine had four children:

Joan Harcus b. 29th September 1878 who married Peter Miller (b. 1870) a vanman from Bucklesberry in 1905. He was the son of Peter Miller and Ann Rendall. They stayed at Wall Cottage subsequently moving to Surrigar and running a grocer’s shop. They had four children. Peter Miller died on 11th August 1928, aged fifty three. Joan died at Surrigar on 13th 1956 at the age of seventy seven.
- Mary Harcus b. 8th February 1880 who married John Miller (b. 1875) from Taftend in 1910. He was the son of William Miller and Jane Hourston. They emigrated to the United States.
- William Harcus b. 8th November 1888
- David Harcus b. 10th March 1891. David and his brother William Harcus emigrated like their sister. They both married.
George Harcus continued to farm Stoneyhall and died there on 27th April 1933. Catherine Rendall died there on 10th March 1941 at the age of eighty five.
