Ann Hourston and Thomas Drever

Ann Hourston is only known as the mother of a child whose birth and baptism are recorded in the Old Parish Records and three earlier children determined from the death register for Eday and Pharay post 1855:

• Jane Drever b. abt. 1784

• David Drever b. abt. 1789

• Isabella Drever b. abt 1793

• Mary Drever b. 1st October 1797

They may have had a further son, William Drever, although this has not been confirmed.

From these records, we can determine that she married Thomas Drever and then follow the Drever descendents of the first three of these children. Ann and Thomas and their descendents formed the main line of the families subsequently on Pharay with the Drever surname and further information for them appears on that page of the website.
