Emma May Wolfe Drummond and James Scott

Emma May Wolfe Drummond (b. about 1861) was a daughter of Thomas Reid Drummond and May Miller, born in Papa Westray.

She was with her parents at Gaird, Westray at the 1881 census, marrying James Scott in August, that year. James (b. 29th May 1856) was the son of James Scott and Betsy Marwick. James died at Broughton, Westray on 13th December 1887. He was a general merchant’s clerk.

It would appear that Emma and James had at least two children:

• Lilly M Scott, born about 1883 in Leith

• Jessie Ann Scott, born about 1887 in Leith. Jessie was a typist and died in Dunfermline on 25th July 1912. She was twenty six.

In 1891, Emma was at Meadowbank No1, Westray with the children and her sister, Jessie.
