Archibald Gray and Ann Burghar

Archibald Gray was the son of John Gray and his wife Barbara Beaton, and was born on Westray about 1818. No record has been found for his birth or baptism, and his birth date has been estimated from his age in the census records.

According to the census records, Archibald earned his living first as a seaman. His occupation as given in the Death Registration was tailor. He married Ann Burghar in Westray on 27th December 1851; they apparently didn't have any children.
