Mary Gray and John Hercus

Mary Gray was baptised on Westray, 22^nd April 1750, the daughter of George Gray and Margaret Seatter. She may have been the Mary Gray who married John Hercus and had a family on Westray in the 1770s and 1780s, but because there are few records from her lifetime, it cannot be proved that John Hercus was the son-in-law of George Gray. There were other Mary Grays born in the time frame who could have married John Hercus.

The seven known children born to Mary Gray and John Hercus on Westray are listed here. Perhaps information will come to light in the future to prove or disprove any relationship to George Gray and Margaret Seatter.
