Introduction / Families / Drever / Isabella Drever and William Gullion / Charles Gullion and Margaret Sullivan Isabella Gullion and William TaylorIsabella Gullion was born on 14th February 1858 to Charles Gullion and Margaret Sullivan in British Columbia. Although no marriage record has been found, it is thought that she married William Frederick Taylor, probably in the mid-1870s. They had two known daughters, born in Washington:
In the 1881 Canadian census Isabella Taylor, described as married, was living alone in Nanaimo and working as a dressmaker. Her two daughters were living with their maternal grandparents. Mr. Taylor was not in either household and has not been otherwise located. In 1891, the two sisters, Lizzie and Lucille were living in a boarding house in Nanaimo and working as waitresses. Isabella was not located in the 1891 census on Vancouver Island. It is believed that Isabella married John Bennett in Nanaimo on 8th March 1899; she was listed in the marriage record as Isabella Gulliver. She was noted as Mrs. John Bennett in her father's obituary in 1911. She died in Vancouver at the home of her daughter Margaret Holt on 7th September 1932. On her death certificate she is referred to as Isabella Taylor. | |||
