William Drever

William Drever (b. 26th November 1868) was the youngest of the eleven children of John Drever and Mary Peace.

William emigrated to the US and on 30th January 1896 married Jennie B Hadden (b. about 1867), the daughter of Isaac S Hadden and Martha A Lawrence, in Manhattan, New York City. Unfortunately she died on 26th April 1898 in New York and was buried in Yonkers. They had no family.

William remarried in Manhattan on 21st November 1899. His second wife was Jane Wards, who was born in Kirkwall on 21st October 1864. She was the daughter of James Wards and Jane Flett.

William and Jane certainly had a son, John William Drever, who as born on 14th June 1901 in New York City but unfortunately died six days later.

William Drever died on 17th February 1907 in New York City and was interred in Cypress Hills Cemetery. It is not known what became of Jane Wards.
