Peter and James Seatter

Peter and James Seatter were two of the six children of John Seatter and Janet Seatter of Newcastle, Westray. Peter was born 4th September 1885 and James was born 6th June 1891. The brothers were at Cott, Pharay from about 1922 to 1925.

On 10th September 1923 Peter married Lydia Jarvie, daughter of Robert Jarvie, school master and Lydia Miller. Lydia Jarvie was born at the Central Schoolhouse, Sanday, 1st August 1888. In 1925 the Seatters were at Biscarth (Biggarth), Evie. Sadly, Lydia died in Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, 5th March 1929. Peter died at Brins, Evie 28th September 1968. Both are buried at Stenness.

It is not known what became of James Seatter.
