James William Stewart Drummond and Jane Fraser Benston

James W S Drummond (b. 15th December 1876) was a son of John Drummond and Margaret Benston.

He married his second cousin, Jane Fraser Benston (b. 6th May 1876) on 15th June 1902. Jane was the daughter of Adam Benston and Ann Fraser. James’s mother and Jane’s father were first cousins, their respective fathers being brothers William Benston and Peter Benston (sons of Adam Benston and Mary Sandison).

They had at least two children:

• Adam Benston Drummond, born 29th January 1903 in South Leith who married Lillian Magdalene Frank on 2nd November 1927. They were in Wisconsin in 1930. Adam was a minister or pastor and died on 28th February 1968.

• Wesley John Drummond, born 11th November 1913, Wisconsin who married Mildred Erickson in Racine on 7th March 1936. Wesley was a pastor and had family. He died on 3rd June 1986 at Anderson Island, Washington State.

The family emigrated to Racine, Wisconsin, arriving in New York on 6th April 1909. They are recorded in the censuses for 1920 and 1930 in Mount Pleasant township, Racine Co.

Jane died in Delavan, Wisconsin on 21st April 1948. James died on 12th December 1950.
