| This is one of a series of photos taken from the boat going from Kirkwall to Rapness in Westray, along the west side
of Pharay. They were taken on a November morning when conditions were not ideal but they give a feeling for the position of
the houses on the island and their proximity to the sea.

The Ness is the most southerly of the houses on the island, being south of
Holland and close to the jetty. |
