Holland lies in the southern part of the island and to the west. It is north of the Ness and south of Windywa, which is also fairly close to the shore. The photo shows Rousay and Egilsay in the background.

There were Drummonds at Holland from the 1850s until about 1890 through a Drummond marrying into the Drever family from Westay, which were previously there.
