Balfour Rendall and Maggie Gray moved to Windywa with their family from Eday around Dec 1927 / Jan 1928. This photo was taken around 1930 at the south side of the dwelling house.

The adult is Peggie Matheson, who was the teacher at the school at this time. Quite a proportion of the children at the school came from Windywa in the 1930s
