Hill lies just to the east of Roadside and both to the east side of the road when going north.

It is separately identified from Lakequoy in the censuses from 1861 to 1881. It was occupied in at the start of this period by Stewart Groat and Ann Drummond and subsequently by their son Robert Groat and his wife.
