Robert Miller Linklater and Sarah Ann Taylor

Robert was born on the 10th July, 1872/1873 at Kapunda, South Australia. He was baptised in 1872 at the Unley Presbyterian Church, Unley, South Australia.

In 1910 he was noted as being a Boot Manufacturer and in 1919 a Bootmaker.

In 1900 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, he married Sarah Ann Taylor (born 1st April, 1873 Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England) daughter of Benjamin Woodcock & Sarah (Williams) Taylor.

It has been commented that Robert was a very hard man and that Sarah and he had split up during their life.

Children born to Robert & Sarah were:

• Robert William Linklater (1928) married Constance Ellen Delahaye
• Harold Tom Linklater (1929) married Elizabeth Muir Stormonth
• Donald Charles Linklater, born on the 8th September, 1905 and died on the 21st October, 1967 at Concord Repatriation Hospital, Sydney. Don was a member of the Army 7th Division Signals.

• Alan Dugald (1942) married twice (1) 1940 Paddington, NSW to Lorna Ferrall and (2) Beryl Johnson.

In 1930 Robert was living at 1 Bakewell Road, Evandale, South Australia. He had lived at Birkenhead, Largs, Beverley, and Semaphore during his life. Sarah was known to have lived sometime at Semaphore.

Robert died on the 7th July, 1958. Sarah had died sometime before.
