Christina Gray and William Thomson

Christina Gray (b. 6th January 1871), the fifth of the six children of Robert Gray and Elizabeth Leslie. She married William Thomson (10th March 1872) in 1892.

William was a crofter and the son of fisherman Thomas Thomson and Elizabeth Drever.

They had five children:

• Thomas Thomson b. 22nd May 1894 and who died on 8th September 1955, aged sixty one.

• Robert Thomson b. 15th April 1897 who married Ada Scott. He died on 24th July 1973, aged seventy six and Ada on 11th July 1980 at the age of eighty four.

• Elizabeth Isabella Leslie Gray Thomson b. 25th June 1902

• Harry Francis Milner Thomson b. 26th December 1909

• George Gray Thomson b. 1st August 1913 who married Clara Rendall. George died at Rosyth on 16th March 1981, aged sixty seven. Clara Rendall also died at Rosyth. They had family in Westray.

William was also a fisherman after he married and a van driver. He died on 5th October 1942 at Lightcost, Dykeside at the age of seventy.

Christina Gray died on 14th October 1948 at the age of seventy seven.
