Robert Gray and Ellen Stout

Robert Gray (b. 24th February 1871) stayed with his parents, Robert Gray and Mary Tulloch (b. 15th July 1874), until his marriage to Ellen Stout in 1891 at the age of twenty one

Ellen was nineteen and the daughter of John Stout and Stewart Seatter from East Tieng. She was a domestic servant and living at home, according to the census of that year.

Their first son Robert Gray was born on 27th September 1891 at East Tieng and the second, John Stout Rendall Gray, on 28th November 1895 at Breckaskaill, where Robert's father stayed. By 1899, they had moved to Links where their third son, James William Gray was born on 19th August.

They were some time at Links where a number of their children were born. Robert's occupation is given as farmer.
