Anna Bella Wishart and David Dearness Marwick

Anna Bella Wishart was born in Stromness, Orkney, to Mary Harcus and George Wishart, on 5^th March 1906.  On 22^nd September 1930 she married David Dearness Marwick, son of Robert Marwick of Rousay and his wife Jessie Dearness of Sanday.  David was born 16^th January 1900 in Kirkwall.  Anna and David had one daughter:

• Mary Marwick, b. 14th May 1935 who married and had four children. Mary died 2nd Oct 2004, Keiss, Scotland. Her descendants are in Scotland and England.

Anna emigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1911 with her parents and the family subsequently moved to Seattle, Washington.  After the untimely death of her father in 1919, Anna returned with her mother to Kirkwall.  David worked in the Kirkwall Post Office.  He received a promotion and moved to Dunbar, Scotland, The family later returned to Kirkwall where David was Postmaster until his retirement.  David and Mary lived at Quandal, St. Rognvald Street.  Anna died in Kirkwall 9^th October 1967.   David remarried, to his daughter’s mother-in-law.  He died in Kirkwall 23^rd November 1974.
