Margaret Stout and Thomas Leslie

Margaret Stout (b. 29th January 1860) was a daughter of Lawrence Stout and Jean Leslie.

She married Thomas Leslie from Swartaback in Westray in 1883. Thomas was the son of John Leslie and Mary Drever and a fisherman.

Thomas’s younger brother, John Leslie, was to marry Mary Groat from Lakequoy in Pharay and descendents were to go from Westray to Pharay in later years. (See Swartaback Leslies)

Margaret and Thomas left Westray although they did have one son while on the island:
