Albert William Drummond

Albert William Drummond was a son born to Annie Drummond at Bredakirk, Eday on 19th August 1887.

He stayed with his grandparents following the marriage of his mother to William Hourston and their emigration to Racine, Wisconsin.

Records at Ellis Island indicate that he went to the US in 1905 and that he said that he was going to his parents, Hourstons in Racine.

US census and other records unfortunately give an unclear picture. He married, his wife Lillian, being born in England around 1886.

They had family, which appear to include:

  • Leslie Drummond, a son born about 1903 in England
  • Norman Drummond, born about 1907, Wisconsin

  • Margaret Drummond, born about 1910

They were in Kenosha Co. Wisconsin in 1920, which is the county in which his mother and stepfather stayed at the time. The census indicates that he worked in advertising in a newspaper office.

It is not known what became of Albert Drummond.
