Mary Drummond and David Taylor

Mary Drummond (b. 14th October 1870) was a daughter of Alexander Drummond and Jemima Benston.

Having left the Ness, she moved into Kirkwall and was a domestic servant for a doctor and his family at 14 Queen St in 1891.

She married David Taylor (b. 13th October 1871) on 19th March 1896 in Bridge St Wynd. David was born in South Ronaldsay and the son of fisherman Robert Taylor and Eliza Norquoy.

In 1901 they were at Upper Stove in Deerness, forming one of the households there with the first of their family who had been born in Kirkwall. David was a ploughman.
