John Robert Drever and Myrtle Thurgood

John Robert Drever (b. 24th September 1887) was a son of William Drever and Elizabeth Miller from Sangar, Westray.

He went to Canada in 1907 but in 1910 was with his brother, William Drever, in Racine, Wisconsin. Their youngest brothers, James and Thomas, were also there at the time.

John married Myrtle Thurgood (b. 1887) at Lipton, Saskatchewan on 2nd April 1914.

John and Myrtle had three children:

• Rosalie Drever, born 1915

• Irene Drever, born 1916

• Thomas William Drever, born 1918

Myrtle died on 29th December 1957. John died at Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan on 9th January 1984.
