Mary Gray and Thomas Logie

Mary Gray was the oldest child and only daughter of John Gray and Barbara Beaton (possibly Bethune), and was christened in Westray on 18th October 1811. She married Thomas Logie on 14th September 1839 and had three children:

• Archibald Logie b. 18th December 1839

• James Logie b. 14th April 1842

• Mary Gray Logie b. 12th October 1848

Mary and Thomas were at Skaill Main House, Westray, in the 1861-1881 censuses. (Skail is in the northern part of Westray, in the district of Aikerness). The following shows their family in 1861:
