James Millar (b. 1826), the son of
Jean Gray and
James Millar married
Margaret Reid in Westray on 28th November 1846. They were staying at Glen in
Westray in 1851 when James's occupation is that of agricultural labourer.
Nine children have been identified:

- Jamima Logie Miller (b. 29th April 1954)
- Margaret Miller (b. 29th April 1854)
- Richard Miller (b. 2nd May 1858)
- James Corner Miller (b. 14th December 1862)
- Isabella Miller (b. 4th June 1865)
- Mary Ann Miller (b. 22nd May 1867)
The family left Westray prior to the 1871 census and are last seen in the 1861 census at
Custerland.
