Thomas Logie and Tomima Corse

Thomas Logie was the son of Archibald Logie and his wife Agnes Mowat, and was born in Westray on 4th December 1871. In the 1881 and 1891 censuses he was included in his father's house in Pierowall.

Thomas became a joiner, and married Tomima (Mima) Corse (born about 1866, daughter of John Corse and Jane Drever) in 1898. They had at least three children:

  • Jane Logie, born in Edinburgh in 1900
  • John William Logie, born about 1904, and died in Glasgow in 1906, at the age of 18 months
  • Thomas Logie, date and place of birth unknown. He signed his father's Death registration in Westray in 1947

Thomas and Mima and their daughter were living in Edinburgh at the time of the 1901 census.

Thomas died in Westray on 7th December 1947. Mima died 14th June 1956. Their gravestone in Westray reads:
