Jessie Tulloch and John Thomson

Jessie Tulloch, was born in Westray on 22^nd November 1854, the daughter of John Tulloch and Jane Harcus. She was with her parents at Tuquoy, Westray, in the 1861 and 1871 censuses.

Jessie married John Thomson in February 1876 in Westray. He was a merchant seaman, son of John Thomson and Sibella Sinclair, born in North Ronaldsay in 1853. They had four known children:

• Betsy Jean Thomson, born 16^th January 1876. She married James Rendall in April 1895.

• Margaret Thomson, born 20^th July 1877.

• John Thomson, born 8^th October 1879.

• William Thomson, born 12^th November 1884.

Jessie died 8^th May 1921 at Tirlot, Westray. John had predeceased her.
