Introduction / Westray Grays / Archibald GrayMary Ann Gray and John TullochMary Ann Gray was born about 1775, and was a daughter of Archibald Gray and Marjory Paterson. No record has been found for her birth or baptism - her approximate date of birth was estimated from her age in the census records and in her Death registration. About 1800 she married John Tulloch (a farmer, according to Mary Ann's Death registration form) and the IGI lists ten children for them.
Children:
- John Tulloch, baptised 28th June 1801. He seems to have died in childhood, since another son born in 1812 was also named John.
- James Tulloch, baptised 8th July 1804. He married Mary Pottinger.
- Margaret Tulloch, baptised 19th January 1807
- Robert Tulloch, baptised 1st January 1808
- Margaret Tulloch, baptised 1st January 1808
- Rebecca Tulloch, baptised 23rd Nov 1810.
- John Tulloch, baptised 27th Dec 1812. He married Janet Sandison.
- Mary Tulloch, baptised 2nd Dec 1815

John died between 1841 and 1851. Mary Ann died at Nearhouse, Westray, on 2nd May 1858, and was buried in the North Church Burying Ground.
