Louisa Rendall and Henry Drever

Louisa Rendall (b. 6^th May 1843) was the second of the seven children of William Rendall and Marjorie Lennie. Louisa's father was a farm servant at Skaill and moved to Peatwall sometime before 1855.

Lousia married Henry Drever on 28^th March 1866. Henry b. 27^th December 1841 was the youngest son of the large family of George Drever and his first wife Helen Drever.

They were living at Peatwall at the time of the 1871 census. Louisa and Henry had three children:

• Marjory Lennie Drever b. 20^th May 1867 who married Thomas Balfour

• James Drever b. 18^th December 1868 who married Isabella Cameron Mowat. >They lived in Chicago, Illinois.

• Louisa Jane Drever b. 5^th May 1876. It is understood that Louisa had a son Henry Drever on 20^th July 1897 who went to the US. Louisa died in Pierowall on 28^th November 1938.

Henry's occupation was given as fisherman at this time. Only their youngest daughter, Louisa, was still with the family at the time of the 1891 and 1901 censuses, when they were in Pierowall. By the 1901 census, Henry was fifty nine and still a fisherman.

Henry Drever died in Pierowall on 28^th April 1917. He was seventy five. Louisa died there just under three years later on 3^rd February 1920 at the age of seventy six.
