James Dunnet and Isabella Anderson

James Dunnet, son of William Dunnet and Isabella Gullion was baptised on Eday on 11th July 1849. He married Isabella Anderson, daughter of Charles Anderson and Christina Lyon, at Stenness, on 5th May 1870. James and Isabella had six known children, all born at Stenness:

• John Smith Dunnet, b. 20th Sept 1874

• Thomas A. Dunnet, b. abt 1877.

• William Dunnet, b. abt 1879

• Isabella Dunnet, b. 1881

• Margaret Dunnet, b. abt 1883

The family lived at Knowe, then Heathhouse Cottage (1891), Stenness and James was a farm servant. He died before the 1901 census, when Isabella and her daughter Isabella were living at New House, Stenness.
