"In memory of Mary Groat who died 22 June 1893, aged 83 years." Mary Groat was the wife of William Sinclair. They lived at Windywa but followed William's parents to Green, Eday in the 1850s. As a widow, Mary returned to Pharay, staying with her nephew, James Groat, and his family at Lakequoy by 1891. She died at Hill, one of the Lakequoy houses.
