Margaret Rendall and Robert Tulloch

Margaret Rendall (b. 18^th September 1850) was the oldest of the five children of Jean Rendall and John Rendall. She married her second cousin Robert Tullock (b. 4^th July 1850) in 1878. Robert was a labourer and the son of farm servant Thomas Tulloch and Jane Rendall.

They were at Brough in 1881 and 1901 although they appear in the Westray census for 1891 at the adjacent New Glen. Margaret and Robert had at least three children:

• William Rendall Tulloch b. 11^th July 1881

• John Rendall b. 1886

• Jane Rendall Tulloch b. 13^th August 1888 and died at Pierowall on 17^th March 1927 at the age of thirty eight

Roberts's occupation over this period was farm servant or cattleman.

Robert Tulloch died in Pierowall on 19^th April 1921. Margaret died there on 27^th June 1929 at the age of seventy eight.
