Margaret Lennie Harcus and Seater Rendall

Margaret Lennie Harcus was the first child born to Thomas Harcus and Jemima Rendall after their marriage. She married Seater Rendall (b. 11^th March 1877) from Iphs in November 1904. Seater was the son of Seater Rendall and Jane Foulis.

Seater continued to farm up the hill at Iphs and it was there that their five children were born.

Margaret died there on 2^nd February 1942 at the age of fifty eight. Seatter died twenty two years later on 20^th June 1964 at the age of eighty seven.

Their son John Rendall (b. 30^th June 1916) married Elsa McKay (b. 1917) and they also stayed at Iphs. Elsa died on 29^th November 1987. She had written a history of Westray "Lest We Forget", which was published after her death. John died on 26^th June 2001 at the age of eighty four.
