William Logie and Margaret Cooper

William Logie was the second known son of David Logie and Margaret Gray, and was born in Westray on 18th October 1829. In the 1841 census he was at Upper Damaquoy, Westray, with his parents; in 1851 he was at Gorn with his maternal grandfather William Gray.

William had one known child, a daughter, Mary Logie, born 4th January 1850. Mary's mother was Margaret Cooper, but no record of a marriage has been found, and since William was listed as unmarried in the 1851 census, it appears that no marriage took place. Margaret was not found in Westray in the 1851 census, and no record has been found for William after 1851.
