Ann Tulloch and George Seater

Ann Tulloch was a daughter of William Tulloch and Janet Gray, and was born in Westray on 15th May 1835. She married George Seater (a joiner, born in Westray about 1833) in March 1854, and the records show that the following children were born to them:

• Jessie Williamina Tulloch Seater, born 4th March 1855. She married David Seatter.

• John David Seater, born 28th April 1857.

• William Seater, born 7th March 1860

• George Seater, born 24th May 1863

Ann died 6th December 1865. George Seater later married Margaret Hourston and had several more children (among them Jane/Jean Seater, who married William Drever of Moa, the son of Robert Drever and Jane Harcus). Their gravestone inscription reads:

Erected By George Seater In Memory Of His Beloved Wife Ann Tulloch Who Died 6th Dec 1865 Aged 31 Years Also Her Husband George Seater Died 10th Decr 1901 Aged 68 Years Also His Wife Margaret Hourston Who Died 25th Aug 1906 Aged 63 Years
