"Erected by Alexander Drummond in memory of his parents Janet Reid who died 30 May 1864, aged 56 years and John Drummond who died 27 April 1885, aged 83 years." John Drummond and his wife, Janet Reid were at the Bu in 1841 and subsequently lived at the Ness in the south end of the island.
Their son, Alexander Drummond, married and also lived at the Ness. His four children were born there. | ||||||
